If Chris Cagle were nothing more than a man who lives life at full-speed, taking corners on two wheels, he would still be one of country musics more interesting characters. There are few like him in the industry that can infuse passion and energy on
stage or in the recording studio the way Chris can.
Chris became a gold recording artist with his first two albums, producing seven hits--including four Top 10s. His secret weapon lies in his ability to rope the whirlwind, to capture its motion and emotion with his pen and his voice. It is, as Wordsworth said, "Where emotion is recalled in tranquility that poetry is created," and it is there that Chris untamed spirit becomes art.
Over the last several months, in addition to his aggressive summer tour schedule, Chris has traveled overseas to visit US troops in Korea, visited Ft. Hood, appeared on national television (CNN Headline News, Fox News Channel) in Los Angeles and Nashville (GAC/RFD-TV) and taped a television series scheduled to air on the RFD channel in the fall. Hes graced the pages of Country Weekly (voted one of "Country Musics Hottest Bachelors" by Country Weekly readers), American Cowboy and Country Music People. Chris has recently released his fourth CD project entitled My Lifes Been a Country Song as produced by Scott Hendricks. [Hendricks is responsible for launching Chris country music career in 2000. (Play It Loud)] The new CD debuted at #1 on Billboards "Current Country" chart with 36,600 in first-week sales making it the best-selling country album for the week.
The debut single from the new project entitled "What Kinda Gone" (written by Candy Cameron, Chip Davis and Dave Berg and produced by Hendricks) landed at No. 3 on the country music charts.
"Its so good to come back to radio with a song that is format-friendly, sing-able, unique and comical in content. Im very proud of the production," Chris introduced. "Its great to have the confidence of my label and the support of an amazing team. I think were stepping up to the plate with a BIG bat!"
Chris is set to release the second single from the brand new CD entitled "No Love Songs" (George Teren/Craig Wiseman), a comical narrative that blends itself into a catchy chorus. The tune is currently a staple in Chris live shows. "What Kinda Gone" and "No Love Songs" follow the gold recording artists earlier career chart-toppers "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out," "Laredo," "Miss Me Baby," "Country By The Grace of God," "What A Beautiful Day" and "Chicks Dig It."
My Lifes Been a Country Song is anticipated to be the biggest CD of his career!
